"Tear Staining"

I wanted to thank you for your great product.  The NuVet supplements I have been giving my 5 dogs have been helping them a great deal.  My Maltese' tear staining has cleared with the use of the powder supplement twice a day.  My 10 year old Yorkie (Mikey) is more mobile and agile than prior to taking this supplement.  Matteo (1 year old Maltese) clear eyes after and before.

"Eye Injury"

Here is where I am really happy about NuVet.  On Thanksgiving day, 2009 one of our guests came over and brought his dog around the back of the house to the fenced in yard.  All three of my dogs were excited to see the new dog.  In their excitement Gander and Gunnar pinned Ginger between them and caused her to fall very hard on the deck.  I took her to the vet the next day as her left bottom eyelid was drooping and her pupil was not reacting to light changes (it stayed pin-pointed). 

The vet determined it was nerve damage and he has seen this kind of injury before.  As the nerve in question can be in the chest, the neck or the spine there is no way of knowing or anything they can do to treat it.  On the good side it usually does not cause pain.  Prognosis was it either would heal itself or not.  Any way you look at it, not looking too good.  It usually takes 3-4 months to start to get better if it is going to.  Sometimes the pupil will never correct itself but the lower eyelid will dry up and pull itself mostly back into position.  Sometimes there will be no improvement at all. 

I was very excited when by Christmas time 2009 the pupil has started to change size although it is not yet back to normal reaction.  The lower lid is pulling itself back into the normal position.  If this keeps up she should be completely normal in less than 2 months. 
 
I know NuVet helps for so many different things including nerve injury but this was beyond my expectations.  There is no other reason she should heal so well and so quickly.

"Blindness"

… I had a litter with one puppy in particular that stole my heart.  She was diagnosed by our vet as being blind at 8 weeks of age, since she would only walk around the perimeter of the room.  I was told by my vet to put her down.

"Cataracts"

Hello NuVet Labs, Our dogs are our children.  We have English Springers and Cocker Spaniels.  In the beginning of the spring one of our cockers, Snickers, now 10 started to develop a cataract in his left eye.  He went to the vet and he had given us some eye ointments to alleviate the dryness he had but said he is rapidly losing sight in that eye. 

Never giving up on any of my kids and often turning to holistic practices when the vet says "Nothing can be done" I searched around for some "natural" help for Snickers.  I stumbled on your site by accident and figured why not.  In the beginning of September Snickers was not moving his left eye and could see almost nothing out of it.

"Eye Infection"

"Eye Irritation"

I have a 7lb female Yorkie named Coco who is approaching 10 years old.  Over the last couple years she has struggled with a problem in her left eye.  She was constantly squinting and rubbing that eye.  After numerous trips to the vet and trying different medications we still were unable to fix the problem.  We finally took her to a dog ophthalmologist who told us the issue was her immune system.  Her eye was producing enough tears, but the tears she was producing were not good quality tears.  Coco was prescribed a medication that made her eye produce more tears to see if it would help.  We were told she would have to take this medication for the rest of her life if it worked.  Also, she had to wear the surgical guard around her collar, so she couldn’t touch the eye.  We could only take it off while we were watching her for the next 6 weeks.  Well, the medication didn’t do much except make her eye pour out tears.  The ophthalmologist reduced the dose to see if it would help. 

In the meantime, I began to research natural remedies for eye issues in dogs.  I came across a product called NuVet.  They had a money back guarantee, so I ordered a bottle.  I started giving it to Coco.  Within 2 weeks she started opening her eye more.  I decided to take her off the medication she was on and see what happened.  After about 6 weeks her eye looked better than it has ever looked.  I was amazed.
